Foie Gras and Amyloidosis

You would think that the way foie gras is obtained would be enough to turn anyone's stomach, but maybe new research will change the minds of omni's who still eat the dish made of liver from force-fed geese. Apparently, ingesting foie gras may cause a disease called Amyloidosis, which affects the heart, kidneys, nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, and sometimes a blood condition.
Who would think that eating diseased organs might cause health problems?
