Foie Gras and Amyloidosis

You would think that the way foie gras is obtained would be enough to turn anyone's stomach, but maybe new research will change the minds of omni's who still eat the dish made of liver from force-fed geese. Apparently, ingesting foie gras may cause a disease called Amyloidosis, which affects the heart, kidneys, nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, and sometimes a blood condition.
Who would think that eating diseased organs might cause health problems?

And so it begins

Well, here we are, and for once, I'm not quite sure what to say. You will have to forgive me; this is my first real blog. By that, I mean this is my first blog not about the day-to-day happenings of my own life. As much as possible, Veggieful is going to be about something other than me. That something, as you may have guessed, is vegan living. I intend to include a variety of things related to veganism, like recipes, product reviews, news, and whatever else might be of interest. Bear in mind that I'm figuring this out as I go along, and I promise things will pick up once I get the hang of this. And of course, if you have any suggestions or questions, please let me know!
